HOT BREWING METHOD (Ideal Brewing Temperature: 100ºC/212ºF):

Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 7-9oz / 200-260ml of fluid volume in the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 3-7 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea).

ICED TEA BREWING METHOD:
Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoons of herbal tea into a teapot for each serving required. Using filtered or freshly drawn cold water, boil and pour 6-7oz/170-200ml per serving over the herbal tea. Cover and let steep for 5-10 minutes. Add hot tea to a 12oz/375ml acrylic glass filled with ice, straining the tea. Garnish and sweeten to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed herb & fruit tea is to increase the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted.

HISTORY:

You've eaten a large meal, and about to curl up on the couch and fall asleep. Not so fast! Help your body digest a little first. Also, meet your new favorite herbal tisane. Digestive Blue's deep melange of herbs and flowers offers just the relief your gastrointestinal system needs. A quick exploration of three key ingredients will help clarify things.

Anise: Known for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, anise serves as the base for Ouzo, Greece's famous after-dinner alcoholic digestiv. Opa!

Licorice: Prized by natural health practitioners for its ability to soothe post-dinner gastric and abdominal ailments such as heartburn and inflammation. Perfect.

Fennel: Loaded with significant levels of fiber, fennel soothed stretched stomachs since at least the Roman era. Iubentium! (That's 'cheers' in Latin.)
